Does Weight Science use cookies?
Weight Science sets no cookies. There is no login, no comment system and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
Does Weight Science track me?
There are no analytics tools, ad networks or social media widgets on Weight Science. Fonts and images load from our own server, so no third party is told that you visited.
What data is collected?
Weight Science's web server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser type, page requested and time. They are used only to keep the site secure and working, and are deleted after a limited period.
What we collect
When you load a page, the web server records a standard log line: your IP address, your browser's user agent, the address requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the time. Weight Science uses these logs to detect attacks, fix errors and understand load. We do not combine them with other data or use them to build profiles.
The site is served through a content delivery and security service that sits in front of our server. It processes the same request data to deliver pages quickly and block abusive traffic.
What we do not collect
Weight Science has no accounts, forms, newsletter, comments or analytics. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels or fingerprinting, and we do not sell or share personal data.

Our guides link to research databases and public health agencies such as PubMed, the NIH, the CDC and the NHS. When you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Changes to this policy
